Editor Note: We are taking a small hiatus which is why some sections are missing. Regular scheduled programming will resume next week.
RecOps for Memes (Part II)
Continuing from last week, we crowdsourced these and decided to put these GIFs in for this week.
Kermit Freak Out
Source: The Muppets
Why? When the hits start coming and they don’t stop coming, our inner worker bee has a freakout about how we are going to get everything done. Especially if we are a team of one.
Conspiracy Web to Crazy Eyes
Source: Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Why? You’ve been handed a data set or a program that has become so convoluted that you aren’t even sure where to start when it comes to fixing it. To boot, it might be an issue that needs to be solved immediately, and you weren’t on the original project, but you are in charge now. So you start to connect all the dots. The crazy eyes come in when, after all the alarms get raised, you get told it was a simple change of a sign or subject of the report by the first person who reported it. Hours gone, but hey, hopefully we learned a thing or two along the way.
Looks Like I Picked the Wrong Week To…
Source: Airplane!
Why? We kick off the week with new energy and verve, and this will be the week that we can conquer the backlog because there will be no fires or tool breaks. This is the week you quit saying Yes to everything. Then it happens… a small request spirals into a big project or an outage requires a bunch of pivots. Then, like New Year's Resolutions in February, everything starts to go downhill.
Thank ya for tuning in! Did we miss any?
